Kerstin Zscherpe is specialized in information technology (IT) and has advised domestic and international firms for over 17 years in all areas involving IT contracts, e-commerce and data protection. Her particular focus is on outsourcing and software-as-a-service agreements, as well as contract for IT projects and developing and licensing software. Another focus of her practice is data protection issues, in particular regarding international data transfers, data protection compliance inspections, issues on employee data protection and e-discovery. Kerstin Zscherpe is also specialized in all legal issues related to creating a website, website audits and other matters related to Internet law.

She is a co-author of a leading commentary on data protection in practice and a renowned speaker at data protection and IT law seminars (e.g. for the Association of Data Protection Officers in Germany e.V.: BvD). She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the German Society for Law and Computer Science (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Recht und Informatik – DGRI) and the German-Canadian Lawyers Association e.V.

Kerstin Zscherpe has been of counsel for MEISTER LAW since its founding in 2010. Prior to this she worked in international law firms in London, Frankfurt/Main, Toronto and Munich. Kerstin Zscherpe studied law at the University of Munich (2. Staatsexamen, 1999), Université Paris II (Licenciée en Droit, 1994) and University of Münster (Dr. jur., 2002).
